Who needs Sorted Home?

You do, if....

You're about to move house. You need to clear the clutter before your property goes on the market
You're moving to a smaller home. You need to reduce the amount of belongings you take with you
Your domestic circumstances have changed due to divorce or bereavement, children moving out or an elderly parent moving in. You need help deciding what to keep and what to let go
Your office space isn't working efficiently. You need to clear out your files and set up systems that work
You simply don't have the time, energy or inclination to tackle that spare room, attic, or cellar on your own
You need a helping hand to get you started and make the process fun, rewarding and stress-free

What won't I do?

Harangue you, pass judgment, or reveal any personal or confidential information about you
Move heavy furniture
Provide a house clearance service (but I may be able to recommend someone who will)
Remove items from rooms we haven't cleared
Remove items of value (but I can put you in touch with a professional valuer)

What happens to items I take away?

I will either ...

Sell them on your behalf (eg books, records, CDs, DVDs). I will deduct any costs I incur, such as petrol or parking, but otherwise will pass all the proceeds on to you
Give them to an eBay agent to sell on your behalf. They take a commission for doing so
Give them to an appropriate charity
Offer them on Freecycle
Take any broken or unusable items to a council tip for recycling or disposal

Will I force you to throw things away?

Definitely not. I'll gently guide you into making decisions about what you'd like to keep and what you can let go of, and how best to store or display what's left.

Do you need to clean and tidy first?

No. You really don't have to do a thing before I arrive. I won't judge you if your drawers are untidy, your shelves are cluttered and dusty, or your cellar is heaped with 'junk'. Instead, I'll see it as a wonderful challenge! I bring cleaning materials and rubber gloves, so will clean as I go.

Can I provide references?
Yes. I have clients who would be willing to give you honest feedback about how Sorted Home worked for them. Also, see Testimonials
